International Space Station
The International Space Station (ISS) is the result of a collaboration between NASA (United States), Roscosmos (Russia). ESA (Europe), JAXA (Japan) and CSA (Canada).
A notable feature of the station is the Integrated Truss Structure, which connects the large solar panels and radiators. Pressurised modules are specialised for research, habitation, storage, control and docking functions
US Orbital segment
SpaceX’s Dragon capsule nears for docking at Harmony, the central connecting node. The Destiny lab is at the far end, with Columbus to the left in this view, and Kibo to the right.
Russian Orbital Segment
Consists of six modules in total-here, a Soyuz spacecraft is docked at Zarya and the cutaway portion shows Zvezda
