Cutaway illustration of the Suzuki GSX1300R, more widely known as the Hayabusa (Peregrine Falcon). So named not only for the bird’s speed, but also for the fact that the peregrine falcon preys on blackbirds. It was Suzuki’s aim that their motorcycle should unseat the Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird as the world’s fastest production motorbike.
